Atlantic Technological University (ATU) iHub is highlighting the continued impact and expansion of Data2Sustain, as the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) enters Phase 2 (2026–2029).
Building on strong results to dat, supporting 390+ organisations, delivering 380+ services, and providing over €5 million in funded supports, Data2Sustain is now scaling its reach and ambition.
Phase 2 follows the Irish Government’s announcement of €23 million in funding for the country’s four EDIHs, aimed at helping SMEs and public sector organisations adopt AI and advanced digital technologies.
Under this next phase, the national EDIH programme will deliver:
- 3,000+ client engagements
- 1,100 ‘Test Before Invest’ projects
- 200+ training courses
Led by ATU, Data2Sustain plays a key regional role, supporting organisations across Ireland’s West and North-West through a one-stop-shop model offering technical expertise, innovation pilots, business advice, and skills development.
The initiative is part of a national network alongside CeADAR, ENTIRE and FactoryXChange, which together are driving digital transformation and strengthening Ireland’s competitiveness.
With Phase 2 commencing on 1 May 2026, Data2Sustain will continue working with its consortium and partner network to expand access to cutting-edge research, AI capabilities, and innovation supports for enterprises and public services.
