A Galway based company supported by the New Frontiers programme has recently featured in the local press for its work helping children with additional needs reach their potential.

VerbaNexa was founded by Erica Herwood following her son’s autism diagnosis. Faced with long waiting lists and limited support, she developed her own strategies to assist his development, which later formed the basis of her business.

The company now provides practical guidance to families, focusing on early intervention and everyday techniques that support children’s communication and growth.

The story highlights how New Frontiers backed start ups can turn personal experiences into impactful businesses, while also addressing important gaps in local support services.
