ATU New Frontiers Alumni Yvonne Comer, Co-founder SportsSmarts (RugbySmarts) and Emma Meehan, Founder, CEO & CTO of Precision Sports Technology pitched for investment with US / Irish investors in Boston and New York.

Not only were both women from Galway, but they made up a trio of Irish Women founders in the delegation, including Naomi McGregor, Founder of MoveTru based in Antrim, revolutionizing the SportsTech/ Women in SportsTech sector.

Precision Sports Technology was currently raising investment for its real-time exercise feedback and analysis software platform to reduce the risk of injury, enhance performance, and increase participation in strength & conditioning and physiotherapy. They delivered greater than 95% accuracy of a motion capture lab, but with results in less than 1% of the time with no wearables or technicians required. They were live with early customer pilots and had deals lined up with teams across the NBA, NFL, MLB, and the US National Soccer Team.

SportSmarts, currently trading as RugbySmarts, was an innovative, deep tech startup focused on changing the face of performance analytics for team sports. They offered a cloud-based AI-driven platform built by coaches for coaches that identified key improvement areas for their team. They had automated the manual elements of video analysis so coaches could focus on better decisions for their strategies, players, performance, and ultimately drive better results.
